The Adecco Group appoints Octopus Group for retained PR programme

By admin on 4th April 2017

The Adecco Group, the world’s leading provider of workforce solutions, has appointed Octopus Group as its retained UK & Ireland PR agency following a competitive five-way pitch.

We’ll be undertaking a public relations programme aimed at reinforcing The Adecco Group’s position as thought leaders within the HR and talent space, building awareness and engagement with both employers and candidates. We’re also tasked with promoting The Adecco Group’s existing global thought leadership programmes such as Way to Work: CEO for One Month, as well as working with the in-house team to create new UK-specific platforms. We’ll be supporting a number of The Adecco Group’s market-leading recruitment and HR services brands, including Adecco, Office Angels, Badenoch & Clark and Modis.

David Malkinson, Chief Marketing Officer, North America, UK & I – General Staffing at The Adecco Group UK & Ireland, said: “We have ambitious plans to deliver game-changing thought leadership, insight and expertise which will make a real difference to our clients and candidates. We’re already making great strides in this regard with some of our recent programmes, such as CEO for One Month, and we’re delighted to now have Octopus Group on board to support us as we look to build on this. We were really impressed with Octopus Group’s knowledge and experience of our sector, and the creative approach they have demonstrated. Their integrated approach, where PR sits at the heart of a wider inbound marketing programme, was also exactly the direction we’re looking to take.”

Tom Holland, Group Director, Octopus Group, said: “The Adecco Group is a fantastic brand with a genuinely compelling story to tell. There is so much potential here to deliver creative, high-impact campaigns around some of the most interesting and important issues within business, the economy and wider society today. We’ll be looking to drive awareness and engagement with key audiences, and to help integrate PR and social media into a broader Brand to Sales programme. We’re really excited about this win and, in particular, about working with the team at The Adecco Group who clearly have some exciting ambitions.”
