Octopus Group recognised as one of the Best Places to Work

Last week we received not one, but two exciting bits of news! Thanks to the dedication of our staff, we’ve achieved a major milestone for Octopus Group. In fact, I’m not sure how we can summarise our immense pride in being acknowledged by two high profile organisations!

It’s no secret that we invest an enormous amount of time, energy and effort into our agency and we put our people at the centre of everything we do; from a day-to-day point of view internally to how we work with our clients. And boy has it paid off!

We’ve been awarded a Two Star accreditation in the Sunday Times Best Companies to Work for 2017, meaning we’ve been recognised as an ‘Outstanding’ organisation! We last entered this anonymous employee survey five years ago and were impressed with a One Star accreditation, so to have moved up a whole category in this short space of time, voted for by our staff, is a real achievement.

There’s no better accomplishment than Octopedes (as we like to refer to ourselves) feeling they genuinely believe in the agency and where it’s going. We work hard to ensure that everyone feels part of the journey, are rewarded and compensated fairly, are looked after well, have good relationships with managers and team members and, most importantly, have a good time along the way.

But wait, there’s more…

On top of this amazing news, we’ve also been shortlisted as a finalist in the medium agency category in PR Week’s Best Places to Work. Although our exact position (either bronze, silver or gold) won’t be announced until 2017, for us to be nominated is a real achievement. That’s because it’s an industry award that recognises how we’ve set ourselves apart; a specific people goal we’ve worked towards which everyone has been a part of since day one.

We’re proud to have created an agency that ticks every box, where Octopedes feel they can do good work, be recognised, and accelerate their careers. We have a superb team around us; from our new Interns and AEs all the way through to our Board of Directors – every single one of them has made this happen.

Momentum is high and here’s to a 2017 where we continue to be loud and proud of Octopus Group!
