Sandy is a co-founder of Octopus Group and has over 20 years’ experience in sales and marketing. He helps our clients to benefit from multi-service Brand to Sales programmes, and has advised global businesses, including Vodafone, Cisco, Oracle, PwC and The Adecco Group, on how to drive top line growth. Sandy has also worked with tech startups to disrupt markets and grow rapidly across the world.

Outside of B2B land, Sandy loves tinkering with new tech, getting mindful with meditation and suffering as a supporter of Leeds United.

Jon has spent most of his career growing Octopus Group and is the agency's CEO. He looks after all of the commercial dealings for the company, but is at his happiest when working with clients on campaigns and new ideas. Jon is a bit obsessive about everything to do with Octopus Group, intent on making the agency a great partner to the world's most exciting technology brands, and the best place to work for every Octopede. 

Before getting into technology marketing, Jon had aspirations of being on TV – until he worked out that very few people could decipher his Midlands accent. When he is not at Octopus Group, he can be found watching, coaching or playing football with his two boys, or trying to create the perfect Negroni.

Billy Hamilton-Stent is a co-founder of Octopus Group, and has 20 years’ experience in the fields of research, marketing and communications. As Client Strategy Director for the business, he is responsible for brand and messaging development, client planning, developing audience insights and generating creative marketing campaigns that drive sales. He has worked with numerous B2B and IT businesses, from VC backed startups to the uber-brands of the IT establishment, covering projects that range from re-branding and content marketing to account-based sales development. 

Billy is also the leader of (and chief recruiter for) the Octopus Group house band.

Pete is one of the Octopus Group co-founders and is a board director, overseeing brand engagement teams and leading on key accounts (including Unisys, SSE Enterprise Telecoms, Urban Airship and Currencycloud). Pete’s been an agency man since he started out back in 1998, and has led international programmes for the likes of Nokia, Cisco, BT, Rackspace and Logica. When Pete took his first job in tech marketing comms, he wouldn’t have known a motherboard if it slapped him in the face, but he now has a passion for all things tech.

In his spare time, Pete enjoys narrowly avoiding giving himself a heart attack when cycling through the Surrey Hills – yes, he’s a MAMIL.

Angela is MD of Loudhouse, our market research agency. She works with clients in the B2B and technology sectors to help them understand buyer needs and identify new opportunities, and also conducts research to create engaging thought leadership campaigns (including with Vodafone, Unisys, Samsung and Google). Angela's career in B2B and technology began after a brief stint researching food and toiletries, which convinced her that FMCG was not for her. She worked client-side for a time at Microsoft and also ran her own consulting business – always enjoying the pace of change in the technology sector.

Angela only recently discovered a love of theme parks, having been dragged along for the first time by her sons, and is now a complete rollercoaster addict.

Gary is the Creative Director at Octopus Group, managing all creative output across the agency. He works on most full Brand to Sales campaigns, when clients require a core campaign idea, activation or brand positioning statement to drive awareness. His work can be seen in our projects with Vodafone, BlueJeans, Evalueserve and Anaplan (among others). Gary's speciality is conceptual thinking, art direction and video manipulation, and his background is in advertising (above and below the line), branding and PR. Over the past few years he’s worked with household name brands including Heineken, Shell, Unilever, Western Digital, Sony, Lego and Microsoft XBox.

When his head is not in the clouds, Gary is often found obsessing over new tech, AI and the singularity. A raving mad comic book fan, he loves geeking out over a sci-fi book or movie.

Ben is the Finance Director at Octopus Group, overseeing the financial and operational governance of the agency. Ben specialises in growing independent marketing agencies, ensuring the business generates cash and profits to service the amazing work delivered to clients. At Octopus Group, Ben oversees finance, property, tax and advisory and IT for the group, working with an incredible team to service the agency for growth.

Ben’s held a number of positions in high-growth media companies and marketing agencies. When he’s not running around crunching numbers, he’s got his hands full scoring some dubious penalties against his two young boys.

As Head of Talent, Kavita oversees the HR team and office operations to make sure Octopus Group is always a great place to work. Kavita has her eye on all things talent management and development, as well as reward strategies, engagement, comms – basically whatever's needed to make Octopus Group stand out and give Octopedes a fun, fulfilling experience.

Before joining Octopus Group, Kavita spent her career in recruitment agency land, so she’s well-versed in HR processes and practices. When she’s away from the office, she loves to spend time with her dog, and enjoys home improvement projects and fine dining. If she was to start all over, she would be an amazing personal shopper.

Stephen is a Client Director at Octopus Group with responsibility for a portfolio of enterprise tech clients. From cloud to containers, DevOps to digital transformation, Stephen helps clients to create engaging, thought provoking campaigns for PR, content marketing and social. He has over 15 years' experience working with some of the world’s most successful tech giants, through to fast-growth competitor brands who are disrupting established markets. In addition to his role as Client Director, Stephen also manages ION, the international network of 40+ PR agencies which Octopus Group co-founded to deliver international reach for our clients.

Stephen is an aspiring Dylanologist. His favourite period is 1975-79.

Katie is a Client Director at Octopus Group, overseeing a portfolio of fast-growth tech brands, and a team of talented Octopedes. Starting out at Octopus as an intern in 2008, Katie has since worked on a wide variety of clients and projects in two stints over the years, including SAP, BMW Financial Services, CA Technologies, BlueJeans, Adecco, Pindrop, Urban Airship and Marketo. Following a couple of in-house roles in corporate communications at Inmarsat and Accenture, Katie returned to the Octopus Group fold in 2016 to head up the Vodafone account, overseeing the messaging, branding and content for their cloud and hosting division.

Out of hours, Katie volunteers for the Royal Voluntary Service, attempts to practice yoga and drinks a lot of wine.

Bill is a Client Director at Octopus Group, managing a team that looks after a range of technology clients including ACI Worldwide, BlackBerry, Bomgar, Evalueserve, and Paysafe. A PR by training, Bill works across Octopus Group's Brand to Sales offering, from persona and message development through to website and digital content work, thought leadership and PR campaigns. Bill has worked both agency and client side, including running his own PR business as part of an integrated marketing group, and being part of the team that raised more than €500 million for men's health at Movember.

Outside of work, Bill reads anything from Nordic noir to Noam Chomsky…though currently most of his reading material is bedtime books with his four-year-old daughter.

Toby is Client Director for the workplace team, overseeing Octopus Group's team of brand engagement experts on all things relating to the world of work. As the name suggests, Toby’s main role is client-centric – helping brands ranging from Adecco to Currencycloud get the very best service and results, and providing seamless access to our full suite of Brand to Sales services.

Toby has spent over 10 years in technology and professional services PR and marketing, supporting a broad spectrum of clients, from global tech behemoths to disruptive startups. Outside work, Toby is a dedicated dad to his two kids, an active cyclist and keen gardener.

Rebecca is a Client Director at Octopus Group. She is a B2B tech marketer through and through, with over 12 years' experience under her belt, working in marketing roles for vendors, in the channel and agency side. At Octopus Group, she heads up the demand generation team, managing a mix of digital marketing experts who specialise in paid search, social media, ABM, inbound, content marketing, marketing automation…the list goes on. Her colleagues would describe her as unwaveringly calm, despite her focus on delivering ROI that borders on the obsessive.

When she’s not running the team, she’s running around after her two daughters at home.

Darren is our Head of Design and oversees the design standard for both internal and external projects at Octopus Group. He's involved in all aspects of the creative design process for marketing and social campaigns, digital design, branding and anything in between. Darren manages our design team and works closely with our Creative Director, as well as with our copy and digital teams. Examples of his and the design team's work can be seen in projects for Vodafone, Gamma, Balabit, Willis Towers Watson, PARC and Ramada Encore to name but a few. With over 18 years' experience, Darren has a diverse design background, providing creative work for top performing brands including Universal Music, Liberty Global, CBRE, Ministry of Sound, PwC and Ernst & Young.

In his spare time, Darren enjoys breaking away from all things Apple Mac, preferring to release his creative tension with martial arts and becoming an amateur drone pilot. Darren also fancies himself as the Lidl equivalent of Idris Elba – ‘starring’ in the lowest of low budget feature films and commercials

Jamie is the Head of Copy at Octopus Group, managing a team of writers as part of our wider Creative department. He works on everything that constitutes copy for our clients, whether it’s a blog, byline, billboard, report, script or slideshare, as well as providing editorial consultancy to the agency as a whole. His copy can be seen in our work with Vodafone, Fellowes, Unisys and Willis Towers Watson (among others). Jamie’s background is in publishing and journalism. Over the past few years he’s written pieces for The Telegraph, Wired and Five Dials, and will publish his first novel in 2018.

When he’s not turning out copy, Jamie is a keen cyclist, a middling guitarist and a slow marathon runner.

Matt heads up our development team at Octopus Group, ensuring that our clients make the most of their content online. Matt works across the agency, developing new websites, integrating marketing automation systems, optimising content and consulting on technical SEO, as well as managing day-to-day website maintenance and hosting. His most recent work can be seen on Balabit, SSE Enterprise Telecoms, Willis Towers Watson and PARC.

Matt's previous experience includes over seven years spent specialising in digital and e-commerce development for clients including Sky, Ben Sherman, Carlsberg and Cadbury. When not at work, Matt is a keen gamer, partial to the odd espresso martini, and is always looking for the next European festival to attend.
