Inside Sales Executive

We are looking to hire a tenacious new business Inside Sales Executive to join our growing sales and marketing team. The focus of the role will be to generate new business for the agency. You’ll be responsible for building a pipeline of new business through research and networking and outwardly building relationships with prospects. You will be targeted on scheduling qualified new business meetings and ultimately, securing pitching opportunities. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a can-do attitude, and a real hunger to succeed. Ideally you will have experience in a telesales, telemarketing or similar role. You will enjoy building relationships, be a self-starter, confident and eager to undertake an account based selling approach.


Your responsibilities will also include:

  • You will be building your own network predominantly and sourcing new sales opportunities by researching and identifying potential clients based by pitching to prospect clients, generating leads
  • Building relationships with prospects with targeted outbound cold calls and emails taking a consultative approach using
  • Develop the Octopus Group brand amongst the target markets using in-house marketing and collateral to nurture and develop relationships with key contacts
  • Understanding prospects needs, requirements and interests by keeping abreast of their social media activity
  • Securing new business meetings and upcoming pitch opportunities for the management team
  • Researching prospects, identifying key stakeholders and generate interest amongst a pre-determined target list
  • Using technology such as HubSpot, Sysomos, Hootsuite and LinkedIn Sales Navigator to identify and nurture targeted prospects
  • Achieve monthly, quarterly and annual sales and KPI targets
  • Maintaining an active interest in technology media and be able to use developments in the field to build a rapport with prospects as appropriate
  • Adhoc event support for company sales and marketing events


Desired Skills and Experience:

  • At least 1 years’ experience in a sales focused role
  • Self-motivated with the ability to use your own initiative
  • Self-starter with a desire to work in an entrepreneurial environment with lots of autonomy
  • An excellent work ethic and a drive to succeed
  • Competitive nature with a natural flare for sales
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Have the ability to identify real, and worthwhile opportunities
  • Extremely organised, able to meet tight deadlines and take responsibility for your sales targets
  • A friendly and professional manner at all times
  • Be social media savvy (Primarily LinkedIn and Twitter)
  • Tenacious and ambitious to earn commission
